How do I register for Fall Family Weekends or Family Cabin Rental?


In order to get registered for our rental opportunities, please fill out an Inquiry Form found below: 3-Day Family Adventure Package Inquiry Form Family Cabin Rental Inquiry Form A YMCA Camp Carson Staff member will reach out to you once you have filled out an inquiry form, and will take you through the Registration Process.




What food will be served? And how?


In our 3-Day Family Adventure Package, your meals are included, and in our Cabin Rentals you have the option to include meals for an addtional cost ($30 per person per day). Our meals include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and s'more supplies. All meals will be packaged and delivered to your cabin. Each family will be able to enjoy their meal back at their cabins, at one of our many picnic tables, or scenic areas around camp. All utensils and dishes will be disposable. We are still working out menus for each week. You will see a few Camp Carson favorites in the menu! At lunch, there will always be an option for jelly and sunflower butter sandwiches.




How do we indicate special dietary requirements?


During the registration process, there will be a space to communicate your dietary needs. We will follow up with a more detailed questionnaire a few weeks prior to your arrival. We are able to accommodate most dietary restrictions, but need advanced notice to do so. If we cannot accommodate your request, we will let you know. May I bring my own snacks and beverages?


Yes, please plan to pack your own! During the day, we will not be able to provide snacks. Inside your cabin there will be a bin with a lid to put all of your snacks inside. You may also bring a cooler to store cold snacks and beverages. We are an alcohol-free facility and do ask that you do not bring or consume any alcoholic beverages during your stay here.




What precautionary measures will be taken this fall?


We are closely monitoring local and/or federal health and safety quidelines and will continue to adjust our policies and procedures accordingly. The health and safety of our staff and camp families are a top priority for us. We have documented plans to keep our staff and camp families safe. Do we need to follow Social Distancing at camp?


Yes, we ask that proper social distancing between families to be observed.




What is the Cancellation & Refund Policy?


Full refunds will be provided if government regulations change and we are forced to cancel your Family Adventure Package or Cabin Rental, or if a family member develops COVID indicating symptoms prior to arrival. Cancellations initiated by participants for non-medical reasons will result in a forfeiture of payment.




Will childcare be available?


We are unable to provide childcare. Duirng our 3-Day Family Adventure Packages and Family Cabin Rentals, all children must be supervised by their parents.




Can I bring my pet(s)?


No pets are allowed at camp during your stay. If you or a family member has a service animal, please call us at (812) 385-3597 and we will work with you to make accommodations.




Is there access to Wi-Fi and/or a place to work?


Yes, we have limited Wi-Fi available and can make spaces available to family members who need a place to work. Verizon has the best wireless coverage here at camp.




What do we need to pack?


We will send a packing list with your Registration Confirmation (be sure to fill out an Inquiry Form in order for us to reach out and get your family registered).




What are the Check-In and Check-Out guidelines?


Check-In is from 3:00 pm CST until 6:00 pm CST. Please contact the camp office in advance if you are arriving outside of this timeframe. Upon Check-In, we will ask you to stay in your car while a Camp Carson Staff member takes each family member's temperature. We will then proceed with a check-in process. Check-Out is by 1:00 pm CST on your last day. We ask that you are completely out of your cabin and headed down the road by this time. Check-Out will be contactless. We will request that you help with a few simple housekeeping tasks - for example, please take your trash out to a larger trash bin located near your cabin. Each cabin will sit for 24 hours before our staff clean and sanitize for the next family.




Will there be quiet hours?


Yes, we ask that all guests keep their voices down and observe quiet hours between 10:00 pm and 7:30 am CST.




What is the cost of the Fall Family Weekends or Family Cabin Rental?


Rates for our Fall Family Weekends (which includes 2 nights and 6 meals): Adults $140 Child 7-17 $125 Child 5-6 $ 90 Child 3-4 $ 45 Children 2 and under are Free To learn more about our Fall Family Weekends click here.
