PERMISSION TO LEAVE CAMP FORM
We have had some confusion in the past regarding this form and want make some clarifications.
For the safety of our campers, counselors can ONLY release campers to adults listed on the Permission to Leave Camp Closing Day form. Names of parents and ALL other adults who have permission to pick up your camper MUST be listed on this form.
If you are not sure if your form has all the authorized adults listed, please log in to your camper's Forms Dashboard and take a look. If you need to make changes, please call the camp office at 812-385-3597. Thank you so much for your help with this.
CANTEEN CHECK OUT
As you enter Eddie Edwards Lodge, you will receive a copy of your camper's canteen account reflecting items purchased throughout the week and any remaining balance.
If you have a remaining balance, the following options are available per the Canteen Refund Policy.
Spend the remaining balance
Donate it to our military kid scholarship fund
Request a refund for remaining balances over $25
To close out your camper's canteen account:
Access your parent account on your phone.
Check out with a staff member in the canteen in the lodge.
EARLY CHECK OUT PROCEDURE
The camper experience is designed for the entire week and is intentionally programmed through a progression of relationship building, challenge taking and personal reflection and growth. When a camper is removed from camp during the week or leaves early, it is detrimental to the overall experience and does not allow campers to reach the full culmination of the experience.
However, we understand there are times when early dismissals cannot be avoided. If you will need to pick your child up during camp or early on closing day, please provide a written email to firstname.lastname@example.org. It is best if we can receive this email, prior to check in day but you may also bring a hand written note on opening day if a prior email is not possible. If something comes up after your child is a camp, please call the camp office and follow up with an email.
ON THE RIDE HOME
If your kids are like ours, the question “How was camp?” met with the answer, “Great”! Or, “Did you have fun?” The answer, “Yes”! We have crafted a few open ended questions you may want to use as conversation starters with your kiddos on the car ride home.
What are the things you are most proud of this week?
I noticed camp has a motto, ACE – Accepted, Challenged and Empowered! Can you tell me about that?
Tell me about your cabin mates, counselors and cabin group activities.
What are some goals you set for yourself?
I saw a photo of you doing __________. Tell me about that.
