ACTIVITIES

MORE THAN AN ACTIVITY

Through intentional use of our ACE  concept, we strive to ensure that while campers are at program areas, they are learning so much more than just an activity.

Throughout their participation, they are also learning life skills such as teamwork, communication and problem solving.  We also focus on increasing camper understanding of the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith. â€‹

CHALLENGE BY CHOICE

Our "challenge by choice” philosophy encourages campers to stretch their comfort zones and discover they can do so much more than they imagined. Campers receive lots of encouragement to "go for it" but in the end, it's always the camper's choice to take on the challenge before them.
